Allow me to introduce myself. I’m a 44-year-old woman who used to write every day of her life. It was my saving grace, the only way I could fully process my thoughts and emotions. I wrote essays, poems, short stories, and personal journals. None of which I ever published, of course. The thought of other people reading anything I wrote was mortifying.

But these days, I’m raising a toddler with my husband and have so little time to myself that I thought, why not now? It makes perfect nonsense. And to be perfectly honest, a huge motivation is the hope that at least a few people will click on my affiliate links for books on Bookshop.org so I can make a few dollars. Money’s tight for all of us right now, right? Bookshop.org is a great site, though, not some evil conglomerate like Amazon or anything. They actually support local and independent bookstores, which is a cause I can get behind.

So glad you’ve decided to join me on this adventure! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.
